Bobby brings a breadth of experience to the Carbon Neutral Coalition, where he sits on the board. The CNC was formed with the stated goal of making Texas carbon neutral by 2050. Bobby notes the involvement of stakeholders from all sectors, from landowners to legislators. To achieve such goals, the state will need an “all hands on deck” approach, and must do more than just talk about solutions. Alternative sources are the obvious answer, but these producers are growing increasingly curious on how they can make their current processes involving CO2 and food freezing more efficient.

CO2 can be utilized in water treatment? Absolutely. As carbon capture becomes more viable, the space will flood with users looking to take advantage of the 45Q tax credit for sequestration and use. With geography often playing a limiting factor to underground sequestration, new methods will need to be identified.
